Wayne Dunlap
Wayne began his career as an ICU Registered Nurse and now has over 20 years of OPO leadership experience. As the Executive Director of New Mexico Donor Services, he leads all efforts to recover organs and tissues for transplant, including oversight of all clinical, hospital development, marketing, and community education activities. Wayne previously served as the Director of Organ Donation Services at LifeCenter Northwest, in Bellevue, WA and the Organ Procurement Director at Pacific Northwest Transplant Bank, now Cascade Life Alliance in Portland, OR. He is passionate about ensuring marginalized communities, especially Native Americans, have access to transplant and works to collaborate with these groups in new and unique ways. Wayne currently serves as an AOPO OPO Group 1 Representative.
He earned a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Boise State University.
He and his wife Tony have two children. Wayne enjoys football, making brick oven pizza, and encouraging his staff to be industry innovators.
